Barnes Women is a welcoming and social team who love to play rugby and also enjoy putting our feet up with a glass or two after a game or at one of our many fun days and nights out. We've got players from all backgrounds and skill levels, from long time players to women and girls who've never picked up a rugby ball in their life, so don't worry if you haven't played before - everyone is welcome! We have an ambitious 1st team playing in the National Challenge 1 league, as well as a social/development team which plays in the National Challenge 3 league where new players can build up their knowledge and experience with the game.

We have a very experienced and committed coaching team:

Seasoned and experienced ex-national and international Hong Kong player, coach Andy Pickering who has ensured the growth of women's rugby at Barnes for the last 10 years.
Newly appointed Forwards Coach, Chris Rolfe, who has plenty of experience as a previous player and coach with Chiswick RFC.
Backs Coach Megan Jones, who plays international rugby 7s for England/GB and Premier 15s rugby at Wasps RFC joins us for her first season at Barnes RFC.

Barnes training sessions:
Tuesdays @ 7pm - 8.30pm
Thursdays @ 7pm -8.30pm

Our training grounds are at Barn Elms Sports and Rowing Centre, Queen Elizabeth Walk, Barnes, SW13 9SA

The training ground is a short bus ride from Hammersmith Broadway Tube Station on the bus (33, 72, 283) or a 12 minute train ride from central London (Waterloo) will get you to Barnes Railway Station, where you can take a bus (33, 72) - get off the bus at the Red Lion Pub which is on the corner with Queen Elizabeth Walk. You can also get to the clubhouse and training pitches on foot from Barnes Railway Station in 15 minutes if you're feeling fit!
