Park scored their first converted try before 6 minutes after a couple of mistakes from each team. From the restart their outside centre immediately broke through to send the second scorer down the touch line and in again within 2 minutes of the first try. The third came before 12 minutes after Barnes had had some possession; a good Park passing sequence sent their fullback to the posts. Barnes had some more possession but wasted it with 2 unforced errors. Then a penalty and line-out drive resulted in 28 - 0 at 18 minutes.

From a scrum in their own half Park's fullback broke through and 2 passes took them close to the opposition line then 3 recycles led to the 5th after 22 minutes. Barnes regained their next restart then were awarded a penalty that was kicked, not far, to a line-out just inside the 22. The drive from that resulted in a ruck from which Barnes did not get the ball out. From their scrum Park broke out to the other half before passing forward. From the scrum Barnes kept the ball for 7 mixed phases before using an up-and-under. Park got the ball and advanced with 5 phases to get a penalty 21 metres out. The kick took them to 10 metres out and drove to the line from there after 33 minutes. From the restart Park's scrumhalf broke through; one pass took the home team to the other 22 where their hooker made yards, passed then received a pass back to score at the posts a little more than 2 minutes after the previous try. Park ran the ball from the restart into the other half to an opposition scrum. From that Barnes put together 6 mixed phases advancing to get a penalty 5 metres past halfway. They ran the ball and sending it through hands went to the line at 39 minutes. 49 - 7 at halftime.

Barnes dealt with Park's second half restart and kept the ball for a few phases before kicking to the other line for a 22 drop-out. Barnes ran the ball wide with 4 phases to get a penalty 5 metes into their opponents' half. They ran it and got another after 6 phases; this one was kicked a few metres ahead to 20 metres out. Keeping the ball for 5 more phases they were forced back 8 metres to their 3rd penalty. Again they ran, getting to 5 metres out recycling 4 times. After another recycle the defence forced an error to get a scrum 5 metres out. Park recycled close 3 times then had a kick charged down; that resulted in their line-out 5 metres from their line. From that one of their flankers soon broke out to the other half then sent the other one to the posts after 7 minutes.

Park dealt with the restart then did not get the ball out at the second ruck 17 metres inside their half. Pushing Barnes back at the scrum they got the ball against the head. After 3 recycles they passed forward 15 metres past halfway. From their scrum the visitors went wide and made ground; 6 phases sent their fullback to score their second try wide out after 12 minutes. The conversion was unsuccessful.

Barnes dealt with the restart and recycled 4 times before chipping over. Park got the ball and kept it for 5 phases before an error gave their opponents a scrum; this 10 metres into Park's half. Barnes got the ball out but were forced back then penalised 6 metres inside their half. Park ran the ball into the 22; after 4 recycles a knock-down got them a penalty 11 metres out. From the 5 metre line-out the pack drove over half way out after 17 minutes

Park kept the ball after the restart for 6 phases before being penalised not far from halfway. The visitors ran the ball to 3 metres out. After another recycle they lost possession giving the defence a scrum 9 metres out. 3 phases from Park resulted in their being penalised 20 metres out. Barnes ran this, chipped over and regained to score wide out at 23 minutes. An error soon after the restart gave Park a scrum just outside the opposition 22. They went widest from that to the line then one recycle blind got them over at 25 minutes. An excellent conversion followed.

Park secured the restart and ran to get a penalty 27 metres out and kicked to just past halfway. From the line-out they went wide and lost the ball; Barnes got it and advanced to the opposition 22. Four recycles and one recovery got them a penalty 17 metres into the half. They ran the ball then an error soon gave the defence a scrum 29 metres out. They went wide from that then passed forward several metres back. After the scrum Park won a turnover and advanced well to get a penalty 10 metres past halfway. They kicked for a line-out to the 22 then were turned over before recovering a loose ball. They advanced only to be penalised 10 metres out. The visitors ran the ball but dropped it after the first recycle wide. Park advanced to 5 metres out then 2 close recycles followed by one widest got them their 11th try at 33 minutes.

Park secured the restart then an error an error at the second breakdown gave Barnes a scrum 14 metres into the opposition half. From that they went wide and one pass sent the last try scorer to the line wide out at 36 minutes. A good conversion followed. Park's inside centre got the restart ball and advanced to the 22. Barnes defended against 12 recycles before being penalised 9 metres out. Park kicked for a 5 metre line-out; an error at that preceded the whistle.
