Scattering the ashes of Jim Connolly at the Harrodian School - one of our old homes

Jim Connolly's son James and wife Brenda were able to scatter Jim's ashes at Barnes Rugby's old hunting ground last week

Last Sunday the ashes of the late Jim Connolly were scattered at what is now the Harrodian School, in the exact location of his Barnes team photo taken in the 1969-1970 season. Back then it was the Harrods Sports Club, our home for many years before we moved to Barn Elms where we are today.

Wife Brenda, and son James, were hosted by The Harrodian Head Master, James Hooke, who also gave them a tour of the school as it is today, whilst it was emotional I am sure it brought the family a great deal of joy, and I am equally sure Jim would be looking down smiling at his final resting place, where he had so much fun with his mates from Barnes Rugby Club.
