The news in April this year of footballer Fabrice Muamba suffering from a cardiac arrest during a match has highlighted how quick action on the pitch can save lives.
So with thanks to Vet, David Kassler, for the idea I am delighted to advise that Wandsworth have confirmed the availability of a defibrillator at the Barn Elms Boathouse which is their rowing facility next to the far rugby pitches.
Hopefully this is something we will never need to call upon but we should remember the availabily of this potentially life saving equipment.
