In March 2025 we invited Rugby Against Cancer to Barnes Rugby Club all day and what a day it was! RAC are a small charity that was started by rugby people like us.
They help both patients and relatives on their cancer journeys with small support payments to give people some moments of relaxation away from their battle with cancer.
We started the day with the Minis in the morning, progressing to the lunch before the Men’s 1st XV game, and then during the match itself, with the Barnow massif pulling together to raise funds for this dreadful disease, which affects 1 in 2 people in their lifetimes.
We collected a huge £4,615, the most that Rugby Against Cancer have ever collected on any similar day at a rugby club.
We look forward to continuing our support and relationship with this great charity, you can find out more about RAC here: https://www.rugbyagainstcancer.com/
