White and Hay were charged under RFU rule 5.12 with verbally abusing the referee during the London Two South game between Barnes and Dartfordians on October 2. RFU Rule 5.12 deals with "conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Union and the Game".

White was found not guilty on two charges but found guilty of abusing the match official during the totality of the game and is suspended from coaching involvement on match days for six weeks. Barnes have been deducted eight league points, suspended until the end of the season.

Hay pleaded guilty to the charge and was suspended from club duties for four weeks. His club has been deducted a further six points, suspended until the end of the season.

Barnes were also fined £200 and ordered to pay the £150 costs of the hearing. The case was heard by the panel of Jonathan Dance, Peter Trunkfield and David Hurst at the London Bloomsbury Holiday Inn on Tuesday.
