Jerry Halse, stalwart of the club over 20 years  - still propping in the Vets

Hi, I’m Jerry Halse, Barnes RFC’s official club photographer. I have been playing rugby at Barnes, or Harrodians as it was when I started, since 1987. Over the years I have played in all of the club’s teams but now reside firmly in the front row of the Vets.

I am a keen amateur photographer and over the past 3 years in particular I have photographed many games at the club. As I am still playing regularly I am unable to cover all games but I do those that I can and sometimes can even catch a half of the 1st XV game if the vets kick off early.

I have recently set up my own website jphphoto.co.uk and all of the photos that I take at the club will be posted on this site. I will put a note on the forum every time the site is updated with new images. I will try to put photos on the site within a  few days of any game that I photograph, but please bear with me if it takes a little longer – I will typically take somewhere between 200 and 300 shots in a game and it can take some time to sort through them all.

I have started with all of the photos taken so far  this season, but I will gradually be adding the best images form past seasons on the site.

The images posted on the website are greatly reduced in resolution from the originals, in the interest of saving space, but all of the photos are sharp high resolution images and all will produce high quality prints at 7in x 5in, most will print to A4 and many to A3 depending on the level of cropping that has taken place from the original photo.

I hope to be introducing a print ordering facility on the website in the future, but in the meantime, if you want to order prints please e-mail me. Print prices are 6x4 £2.50, 7x5 £3.00, A4 (12x8) £5.00 and A3 £10.00, plus postage and packing if applicable. Pleas contact me if you have any specific requirements such as a montage of a number of shots, image titling, black and white photos etc.
