The infamous Barnes RFC City Lunch returns 17th March 2017

2 years ago By Russell Barnes

You're going to be out anyway so you might as well sign-up before Rhino signs you up!

“If we run out of beer this year we are likley to be dead so it won't matter!” Michael Whitfield - Chairman BRFC

Michael Whitfield promised to get an even better guest speaker than: Will Greenwood, Willie John McBride, Martin Bayfield, Sean Fitzpatrick, Scott Quinnell and Nigel Owens as our 2017 guest speaker.

And he has delivered again,

This year we have the one and only Sir Gareth Edwards, without doubt one of the greatest, if not the greatest, rugby player of all time. Who could forget that end to end 1973 Barbarians try against the might All Blacks and the line as he scored:
"this is Gareth Edwards, a dramatic start, what a score..oh that fellow Edwards"

Sir Gareth will ompliment the resident speakers, Barry Williams, Marty “Junior All Black” Conway and Rhino. He rarely does gigs like this anymore so you will not be disappointed!

Put the date in your diary now - 17th March 2017 - write it off - IT IS GOING TO BE LARGE!

The New Hilton Bankside is a brilliant venue, with a mezzanine floor for pre-drinks overlooking the ballroom where we will have lunch..There will be a full bar, a draft beer bar and a bottled beer bar on the mezzanine floor and a full bar and draft beer bar on the Ballroom floor.

If this wasn’t enough then we will have Simon Cooke’s Angels – 4 scantily clad ladies with beer packs on their backs who will circulate on both floors both pre-lunch and after it!

The price will be the same as last year… £1000 for a table of 10 if booked and paid for by 31st December 2016 – same price as the last 5 years… £1100 if paid in 2017 with individual tickets being £110 if not part of a table.

Contact Michael on all you need to do is say “yes Michael I would like (insert number of tables required) tables for next year’s Barnes RFC City Lunch and I have already put it in my diary”
