So after five 1st XV games in how does it feel so far?
Well the early season trepidation has dissipated a little for the 1'a, a reasonably comfortable win against Westcombe Park, a thumping win against an under powered Staines, a good win in patches against Dorking, a scrappy win where we scraped home against CS and then Saturday's well-earned win against Guernsey on our first visit there on 29th September.
We have not hit our straps yet for a full 80 minutes, but the early signs look promising, and it is clear that Brett Taylor and Jamie Turner are clearly changing the way our top teams are playing. Our style of play is attractive, the players look empowered and we are growing in confidence as each games passes.
Next week the 1st XV travel to troubled Tring, who have yet to record a win this season.
The incredible Minis go from strength to strength, and this year attendance at Saturday morning training has been brilliant, we are rapidly approaching 250 children who are loving their rugby every weekend.
With the Development XV, the Occies, the Vets and the Ladies yet to get into their full stride, I feel we are about to blast off in earnest.
So what are you wating for? Player, supporter or just plain curious, get your self down to Barn Elms and join in the fun!
