Since St George's day, which saw us host and win our very first 7s ladies tournament, the team has gone on to clean up at the Summer Social held at Richmond Rugby Club by winning the Ultra Social group in May, and narrowly missed out on a cup at the Frome 7s tournament.
Off the back of all the fun that the team have had at the 7s tournaments over the summer, we're keen to carry the momentum on into the 15s season which will be here before we know it.
To kick things off, we're looking for any ladies who might be looking to try something new to join us for our pre-season training. It's a 'no-obligation' opportunity to give rugby a try and see if it's for you, or if you've played before and are keen to return to the game, or you're just looking to join a new club, we've got a friendly team to welcome you and a coaching setup to accommodate all abilities.
Apart from taking in the (very) social side of Barnes Ladies, there's an opportunity to get fitter and stronger while the summer evenings are still light - what better way to let off steam than to have a fun around and hit some tackle pads, and keep active during the colder winter months. Plus there's always the post training pint/glass of wine, mixer or good old fruit juice to add to the enjoyment.
Training will start on 4th July from 7:30pm at the Barnes Elms training grounds.
