Lauren Ferridge wins US cap

“"Makes me proud as punch" ” Jason Betteley - Lauren's coach at Under 11 BRFC

We heard this week that Lauren Ferridge, daughter of Minis stalwarts Hugh ad Tracy Ferrdige, now resident in Washington, became the first BRFC mini to receive an international cap playing for USA U16's Ladies.

She is still and Under 14 age group player and was one of Jason Betteley's forwards as an under 11 before leaving to go to the States). She came on for the last 15 minutes and the report from Hugh and Tracy is that she played really well despite being the youngest girl on the pitch. She's playing again on Sunday. What a brilliant achievement for her for Barnow - here's to many more internationals coming from the ranks of the young green and golds!
